One such example is Reese’s encouragement for Natalie to share her love for reading on social media. “Natalie would not be recommending books on social media without Reese’s encouragement and the example of Reese’s own super-successful book club,” explained a source close to them.
Natalie’s split from Benjamin came after his infidelity made headlines in May 2023, while Reese’s marriage to Jim Toth ended around the same time, in March 2023, after 11 years together. “There’s reams of common ground between Reese and Natalie beyond just their divorces,” the insider added.
From their childhood stardom to their roles as devoted mothers, these two share plenty of life experiences. “They both are super-involved moms and they are both incredibly close to their extended families outside of show business,” the source revealed. “I believe these two would be even closer friends if they were just suburban housewives and didn’t have these hot, long-lasting careers,” a confidante noted, highlighting how much their shared lives bring them together.
On top of their personal connection, Reese has also had an impact on Natalie’s professional journey. “Natalie recently got back into producing after a long hiatus and you can chalk that up, at least in part, to the incredible run Reese has had since Big Little Lies. Reese has shown Natalie a way forward in this business that has made a real difference for her,” the source shared.
