Seeing Olivia Rodrigo and Vanessa Hudgens together was not a want, but a need.

And everyone is breaking free over seeing the High School Musical alum and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star pose for a photo at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party red carpet March 2. 

While celebrating the 97th Academy Awards, which saw Anora nab Best Picture and its star Mikey Madison take home Best Actress (see every winner here), Vanessa and Olivia took time to pose for a photo honoring their East High legacies. 

In the photos, Olivia and Vanessa—who posed for individual red carpet moments side-by-side at the after-party event—beamed and laughed at the serendipitous world-colliding moment. 

And clearly, Olivia and Vanessa have great minds, as they sported coordinated looks for the evening. The “good 4 u” singer wore a leather halter top black Roberto Cavalli dress paired with Mikimoto pearl earrings and simple black heels. 

The Tick Tick…Boom! actress, for her part, opted for a one-shoulder black dress with feathery embellishments. And while their meet-up had High School Musical fans feeling fabulous, it was not the only highlight from the star-studded evening.
