Baby John box office collection day 12: Is Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi film a flop?

An adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil hit Theri, Baby John has turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops.

Headlined by Varun Dhawan in his most massiest avatar, Baby John was released in the theatres on December 25 on Christmas last year. The mass commercial actioner features Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as the leading ladies and Jackie Shroff as the main antagonist. Salman Khan is also seen making a cameo in the post climax scene.

An adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil hit Theri, Baby John has turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops. The film had earned Rs 37.70 crore net in India in its first 11 days. As per the early estimates from the box office tracking portal Sacnilk, Baby John collected just 90 lakh on its 12th day, i.e. on Sunday, January 5. Now, its twelve-day collection stands at Rs 38.60 crore.

Talking about its worldwide collections, the film has earned close to Rs 60 crore gross worldwide till now. Considering its massive budget of around Rs 180 crore, Baby John has joined Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, and Maidaan in the list of the biggest Bollywood flops of 2024.

Directed by Kalees and presented by Atlee, Baby John also features Rajpal Yadav, Zara Zyanna, Sheeba Chaddha, Omkar Das Manikpuri, and Jaffer Sadiq in pivotal roles. The action thriller is bankrolled by Atlee and Priya Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande under their banners A For Apple Studios, Cine1 Studios, and Jio Studios.

The Varun Dhawan-starrer has been completely rejected and has failed to attract audiences to theatres. The moviegoers are choosing Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule and the Hollywooda animated musical Mufasa: The Lion King over Baby John in this festive season.
